TVNZ/One News: Chemical-free cosmetic created in NZ

AgResearch scientists have discovered a the formula for a new cosmetic, which can be made without the use of chemicals in the extraction process.

The cosmetic is made from rolled oats and a common weed, and has a firming effect on skin to which it is applied.

“Becky MacDonald, AgResearch scientist, says all the results of the testing shows the product does actually work.

“AgResearch scientist Sonya Scott says applying the thick white product, the skin starts to feel firmer and ‘of course firmer skin is equated to younger skin’.

“It has taken six years to iron out all the wrinkles but now their beauty formulas have started to deliver.”
