The first wave of submissions to the ETS Review Committee have been published on the New Zealand Parliament website. The submission process has allowed scientists to offer input into the proposed future structure of the ETS for the first time since the scheme was originally drafted.

The Prime Minister John Key has indicated that New Zealand will work closely with Australia in the run-up to December’s climate talks in Coopenhagen, to explore scenarios for harmonising New Zealand and Australian carbon emissions reduction legislation.
