Adapting to NZ’s extreme climate futures – Media Briefing

Top scientists and officials from around the world are gathering in Christchurch, urging action to adapt to cascading risks from climate-fuelled storms, heatwaves, and sea-level rise.

The SMC hosted a media briefing about where in Aotearoa is most at risk of these climate hazards and what we can do about it, ahead of the Adaptation Futures 2025 conference in Ōtautahi Christchurch from 13-16 October.
