“Kiwis (particularly those who can afford it) are subjected to moral pressure through the media to do their bit, to be green and to save the planet. But are the steps they take merely cosmetic? Is this pre-occupation with green products (laundry power, biodegradable plastic bags etc.) just a trendy middle and upper-class affectation that is fashionable for those who can afford it and extremely profitable to marketers and advertising agencies?”

On the panel is: Vincent Heeringa publisher of Idealog & Good magazine and chairman of the Science Media Centre’s advisory board; Clive Matthew-Wilson – Dog & Lemon Guide; and Sido Kitchin – Editor NZ Woman’s Weekly
