Dr Simon Brown, a member of the MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology based at the University of Canterbury examines the issue of regulation of nanotechnology – an area yet to be explored in New Zealand.
The Australian Government last week released the Monash report, an independent review of how health, environmental and safety issues relating to nanotechnology could be covered by regulation.
