Tertiary science funding boost – Radio NZ

For Radio New Zealand’s Morning Report, education reporter John Gerritsen covers the announcement from government that the upcoming budget will shift tertiary funding away from humanities and commerce education to further subsidise science and technology courses.

In addition to interviewing  Tertiary Education Minister Steven Joyce, the segment also features comment from New Zealand Association of Scientists President Prof Shaun Hendy, Tertiary Education Union President Sandra Grey and Pro Vice Chancellor of Sciences at University of Otago, Prof Keith Hunter.
