Dan Satherley writes about the discovery by scientists of tadpoles which let out an audible, high-pitched ‘scream’ when distressed.
Previously, it was thought that all tadpoles were mute.

“He told the BBC, “We heard a brief, clear and very audible metallic-like sound… That tadpoles communicate somehow is simply amazing.”
